Earlier this week thousands of Cubans, lead by their President Miguel Diaz Canel marched in Havana to express solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.
The march had originally been planned for October 7th but was postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Among the demonstrators were around 250 Palestinian medical students, who study for free at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM). Last month Diaz Canel announced that ELAM would be opening up 200 new scholarships for Palestinian students in light of the situation.
The protestors emphasised the Palestinian people's right to return and the innumerable atrocities committed by the Israeli state.
